Hong Kong considers changing zoning regulations to encourage arts and culture for urban revitalization

Hong Kong legislators are proposing a number of measures which would utilize arts and culture for urban economic development. Many of the proposed measures center around revising zoning laws. Proposals include establishing designated “zones for street art performance, arts fairs and the like in order to encourage and promote the culture of street art performance, preserve collective memories, and maintain, discover and nurture the culture and talents of folk art performance.”
